Renovated Building:
The public spaces of the existing 240 bed nursing facility were totally renovated, as will the kitchen. A new passenger elevator was also installed. Each residential room was aesthetically upgraded with new lighting fixtures, vinyl wall covering, built-in millwork, wall protection, and a new heating and air conditioning system throughout. The core of the building was totally gutted and reconfigured to allow for better efficiency, and for user-friendliness for staff and residents. A detailed phasing plan was implemented which allowed the facility's 240 bed capacity to be maintained throughout construction.
New Building:
The new building, constructed on a site adjacent to the old one, houses offices, rehabilitation services, and an ambulatory care facility.
